Mulga is about increasing the stocks of mulga landscapes through improved fire management. This activity could occur in arid rangelands and desert country. North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance is working with traditional owners in remote WA to look at the feasibility of this activity. Any methodology will be based around carbon storage in mulga and spinifex and likely follow the savanna burning of applying to specific vegetation classes. A methodology is likely some years away.
Too early to tell without any published peer reviewed papers.
